In relation to diamond trading, blood diamonds (also called a converted diamonds, conflict diamonds, hot diamonds or a war diamonds) refers to a diamond mined in a war zone and sold, in order to finance an insurgency, invading army's war efforts, or supporting a warlord's activity, usually in Africa
